We thought about how to bring this up with you, we can't not address it due to how much it affected the majority of the attendees.

There is unfortunately something I do want to bring up in relation to your speech, which my family, friends and Heidis family felt was very inappropriate and could have been said differently. While we know you did not intend harm, we have had a lot of concerns raised about your speech, and the emphasis on Heidis ex's and how much you hate men. It was not the platform or space for it and it made our attendees, who were already shaken from the ceremony, feel quite alienated and upset

Many of our family and friends took offence to the way you kept comparing me to heidis exes and I have to agree it was not the time or place to bring up past relationships and definitely was not expected during a speech at a wedding. Some of them even said it felt like they were at a protest rather than a wedding reception.

Most of my family were not able to attend as you know, but we're viewing the speeches via zoom and what you said was pretty embarrassing. This was meant to be the start of Heidi's and I's great future together, not a place for angry speech about the past.
