Dear Studio Artists,
From Wednesday 22nd of April my friend Hannah and I intend to re-start our community kitchen event which ran for approximately 6 months of 2014. We plan for the event to run weekly, with food being served at 6 30 pm, performance art taking place, and finishing at 9 pm. Patrons of the event will mingle in the gallery/ event space and in the courtyard, and do not wander around in studio spaces.
There are some outstanding issues with the council regarding the current zoning of the Arts Factory - the warehouse is currently zoned as a garage and any activities not falling under the scope of the operations of a garage are illegitimate as far as the council is concerned. A submission has been made to have the zoning changed, however this appears to be stalled by political machinations which are out of the Arts Factory's control. There has been talk that the serving of food represents a more serious transgression of council rules than other activities at the Arts Factory, however this is not true. With this in mind, we would like to proceed with our weekly event using the same caution that is being used for other Arts Factory events and activities.
The event was by all accounts very successful last year, bringing visitors to the Arts Factory and establishing a community with a positive sense of investment in the collective.

Hey guys, sorry for message through facebook- couldn't find the spread sheet with all your email addresses. Anyway, Jorgen and Hannah are planning Volxkitch for next week and just want to get approval from all the studio residents before they go ahead with it.
